SEVENTEEN Dominates Oricon Daily Album Chart With “Your Choice”
SEVENTEEN truly remains unstoppable as they reign over Japan’s top music chart Oricon with their latest mini album Your Choice!
Phenomenal K-Pop boy group SEVENTEEN recently landed an applaudable feat on the Japanese charts with their newest EP Your Choice.
After eight months since the release of their special album Semicolon in October 2020, the group recently swept fans’ hearts with Your Choice. Spearheaded by the track “Ready to Love,” the album received massive praises and love from critics and K-Pop lovers from all around the world.
Unveiled on June 18, SEVENTEEN’s newest offering has scored the No. 1 spot on Japan’s Oricon Daily Album Chart. Remarkably, the dazzling boy group was able to bag such an amazing accolade in just two days since the album’s successful worldwide release. According to the said chart, Your Choice has recorded 89,736 copies sold in just less than a week.
A RECORD-BREAKING COMEBACK
Aside from conquering the Japanese music scene, SEVENTEEN also surpassed 880,000 sales on Hanteo Chart with Your Choice. The group was able to achieve such an impressive record during the first day of its release alone, surpassing the first-week sales volume of their 2020 EP Heng:garae.
As if the aforementioned feats were not yet enough, SEVENTEEN also reigned over the daily and weekly charts for album bestsellers on China’s biggest music platform QQ Music.
Meanwhile, the group’s title track “Ready to Love” also topped major real-time local music charts such as Genie, Melon and Bugs. Proving SEVENTEEN’s good track record in Japan, the song also scored the No.1 spot on Line Music as well as AWA, together with their b-side songs “Heaven’s Cloud” and “Anyone.”
Exhibiting their great music prowess, “Ready to Love” also dominated iTunes Worldwide Song Chart in at least 22 countries, while Your Choice ranked first on iTunes Album Chart in 18 regions such as Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
As of current writing, the music video for SEVENTEEN’s newest title track has already amassed 18.1 million views on the YouTube platform.
Meanwhile, the group will resume their promotional activities for “Ready to Love” on June 30, after completing self-quarantine as part of COVID-19 prevention measures.
