SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups To Sit Out “Seventeenth Heaven” Promotions

By  |

We wish S.Coups a speedy recovery!

On October 19th, PLEDIS Entertainment announced the news of S.Coups’ absence from activities for SEVENTEEN’s eleventh mini album, SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN, through the group’s global fan platform on Weverse.

The following is the full official position of PLEDIS Entertainment.

Hello This is PLEDIS Entertainment.

We’d like to share some information with you about SEVENTEEN member S.Coups’s promotional activities for the group’s eleventh mini album.

S.Coups had anterior cruciate ligament and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery after tearing his left anterior cruciate ligament. He is currently receiving post-operative treatment and concentrating on his recuperation.

It’s been over two months since he had this operation, and he’s still recovering. The afflicted area, however, remains vulnerable. Rehabilitation treatment is critical at this stage, and he has been advised by his doctor to avoid any physically demanding activities for the time being.

The artist was determined to take part in the planned activities. However, we believed that it was in his best interests at this moment to prioritise his recuperation and rehabilitation over anything else. As a result, S.Coups will be unable to participate in the majority of his official activities, including SEVENTEEN’s promotional activities for their eleventh mini album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN. Thank you so much for being so understanding.

We will do everything we can to help S.Coups return to his fans in the greatest possible health.

Thank you!

Following the statement, S.Coups directly expressed his disappointment over the news of his absence from the new album. He said on Weverse, “I wanted to do as much as possible together, but in order to see it for a longer time, I will take a break and work hard on rehabilitation and come back. I don’t like feeling sorry, so rather than feeling sorry, I will work harder on rehabilitation and show you that I have recovered as soon as possible.” “I will,” he said.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN, to which S.Coups is the leader, will release its eleventh mini album, SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN, on October 23rd.
