Sung Si Kyung And IU To Release A Winter-Themed Collaboration Track

After nine years, the two singers will be releasing a collaboration track that will surely tug on the heartstrings.

December seems to be starting off on the right foot, as balladeer Sung Si Kyung announces a new track. This single is unlike any other, as it marks another collaboration with IU.

On December 5, SK Jaewon confirmed that Sung Si Kyung and IU have been working together to produce a winter song this month. The single, which is slated for release on December 9, will be marking another collaboration with the songstress after nine years.

The single, titled “Because It’s the First Winter” (literal translation), is described as a ballad that will warm the hearts of its listeners. The song contains motifs and themes related to the winter season, and is set to pull on the heartstrings. As of writing, Sung Si Kyung and IU have not released further details about the song.

Prior to this collaboration, IU and Sung Si Kyung collaborated on a duet titled “It’s You”. The song was released in 2010, and was received well by the community as the track later went on to top digital music charts.

In related news, Sung Si Kyung will be holding the 2019 Sung Si Kyung “The Song” Encore Concert at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul on December 20 and 21. IU, meanwhile, is embarking on the overseas leg of her Love, Poem tour. She will be making her debut in Manila on December 13; before heading to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Jakarta on December 21, 24 and 28 respectively.
