Super Junior’s Ryeowook responds to lip-syncing ban

By  |

MBC recently announced that lip-syncing will be banned on Music Core to stop artists from “deceiving the public”. The show’s producer further added that, “It doesn’t matter if the performance is strong. It comes down to, whether it is a rap or in singing, satisfying the listener through live.”

Super Junior member Ryeowook has a different take on this issue. He said on his recent Twitter post:

“A fancy stage performance, lighting and the sound system are very important elements of a performance to the singers. The idols at the core of the performance who merely lip sync is a problem but to focus on just the live singing and not improve other things just seems really tyrannical.”

Do you agree with him?
