Taeyeon Tops iTunes Charts Globally With Digital Pre-Release Single “Can’t Control Myself”

Taeyeon shows off her global popularity as she soars in iTunes charts on several regions with her pre-release digital single “Can’t Control Myself”!

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon constantly proves herself worthy of the title “queen of digital charts” as her pre-release single “Can’t Control Myself” dominates various music charts.

As soon as it was released on January 17, the track immediately drew keen attention globally. “Can’t Control Myself” topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 14 regions worldwide. This includes Thailand, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Peru, Macau, Malta, Bahrain, and the Philippines. Taeyeon’s pre-release single also debuted in satisfying places on several domestic music charts, including Genie, Bugs, and Melon.

“Can’t Control Myself” is a pop-punk ballad with attractive guitar synths and intense sound that stimulates the song’s emotions. The lyrics extend the image of being hurt by a dangerous love. However, still continue to long for the other’s attention and heart.

The recent release is somewhat unfamiliar from the perspective of listeners. But Taeyeon properly elevated her emotional line and appeal by increasing her vocal intensity in sync with the song’s intensifying sound.
