From survival shows to their own reality shows: meet the charming boys of The Boyz
Group name: The Boyz which was first revealed in July 2017. The group was formerly known as Cre.kerz in reference to the agency.

Fandom name: The B from the phrase “The Boyz’ Vitamin” (“vitamin” in Korean is spelled in a way that it sounds like the English letter “b”)
Walking Back In Time: The Pre-Debut Years of The Boyz
Prior to their debut in 2017, the members of The Boyz took on cameo and lead roles in other artists’ music videos. The members, particularly Kevin, Sunwoo, and Haknyeon also tried their luck in survival shows with Kevin joining K-Pop Star 6, Sunwoo competing in High School Rapper, and Haknyeon participating in Produce 101 Season 2.
After being announced as Cre.kerz Entertainment’s new boy group, The Boyz starred in its own reality show titled Flower Snack where the song “I’m Your Boy” was revealed. Before officially debuting, the members met 1,000 fans through their first fan meeting Heart to Heart. The band also became endorsers of uniform and cosmetic brands, and signed with Sony Music for their Japan promotions.
Giddy Up: Officially Starting Their Journey As A 12-Member Group
Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Haknyeon, Hwall, Sunwoo, and Eric finally debuted as The Boyz on December 6, 2017. They released their first extended play The First,led by “Boy”. They then returned with another reality show The 100.
In 2018, the boy group released its second extended play The Start featuring title track “Giddy Up”. The EP was followed up by a special digital single called “Keeper” which was produced by Block B’s Park Kyung.
Five months after The Start, The Boyz came back with its first single album The Sphere led by “Right Here”. The album also contained a special digital single, “Keeper”.
In November 2018, Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Hwall, Sunwoo, and Eric released their third extended play The Only led by the single “No Air”.
Since debuting, the boy group has received various recognitions, including Global Rookie Top 5 by V Live Awards, Male Rookie Idol of the Year by Korea Brand Awards, New Hallyu Rookie Award by Soribada Best K-Music Awards, and Best Male New Artist Award by Melon Music Awards.
