TWICE Tops May Brand Reputation Among Girl Groups

South Korean girl group TWICE leads brand reputation ranking for the month of May, according Korea Reputation Research Institute.

With 107,418,362 data from April 10 to May 11 analyzed, the nine-member girl group tops the list among about 50 girl groups.

TWICE had an estimated brand value of 14,300,378 for May which saw a 161.03 percent increase from last month’s data.

The rose in value may be due to the girl group’s successful comeback with What is Love? which was released in April 2018. The keywords related to the group include its album title, “concert”, and “No. 1”.


Following TWICE, Lovelyz takes the second spot in terms of brand reputation with a brand value of 9,263,704. This month’s value is 349.68 percent higher than the recorded brand value in April of the girl group.

Lovelyz is garnering considerable attention for its fourth extended play Heal which came out on April 23.


Despite the lack of promotional activities, BLACKPINK maintains its strong brand reputation, ranking third this month.

YG Entertainment’s girl group has a brand value of 8,079,330 for May. The value also rose by 79.14 percent.


Other girl groups who made it in the top ten include Red Velvet, GFRIEND, Girls’ Generation, APINK, Oh My Girl, Mamamoo, and EXID, ranking from third to tenth respectively.
