TXT Marks New Million-Seller Album With “The Name Chapter: Temptation”

Exploding to an impressive feat, the latest album of TXT achieves noteworthy milestones.

According to Hanteo Chart, an album sales tally site on the 28th, TXT’s 5th mini album The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, released on the 27th, sold a total of 1,868,919 copies on the same day alone.

Remarkably the album notches a “million seller” badge on the first day of its release.

In particular, TXT is the first K-pop group since BTS to record sales of more than 1.8 million copies on the first day of release.

Previously, the group sold 918,413 copies on the first day of release of their previous work, Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child. Currently, it also exceeded over 1.8 million cumulative sales based on the tally of Circle Chart (previously Gaon Music Chart).

TOMORROW X TOGETHER is also making remarkable achievements in digital music. The title song “Sugar Rush Ride” entered Melon’s Top 100 chart at the 11th spot at 3 pm on the 27th, right after its release, and rose to 3rd at midnight on the 28th.

Strikingly, all the songs in the album landed in the Top 10. “Devil by the Window” ranked 6th; “Tinnitus (I Wanna Be a Rock)” ranked 7th; “Farewell Neverland” ranked 8th; and “Happy Fools” (feat. Coi Leray) ranked 9th.

As of press time, the music video for the album’s title track “Sugar Rush Ride” surpassed 19 million views on YouTube. In addition, it ranked first on YouTube’s trending videos worldwide and in Korea. It ranked second in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Reaching the top of the trending video in several countries/regions, TXT’s latest album signals the start of a global craze.

On iTunes, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION topped the Top Album chart in 30 countries/regions around the world as of 9:00 am on the 28th.

Likewise, “Sugar Rush Ride” topped the charts in 17 countries/regions around the world. It peaked at number one on the regional “Top Songs” chart.
