TXT’s Soobin Diagnosed With COVID-19

MOAs would have to wait for a bit to see Soobin participating in any of TXT’s scheduled activities as he recently tested positive for COVID-19.

BIGHIT MUSIC has made an update regarding the current health status of one of its talented artists, TXT’s Soobin.

On the morning of March 12, the agency released an official statement stating that the young and bright idol has recently contracted the COVID-19 virus. He is the second member of TXT who tested positive following Yeonjun, who got the virus in February and has already completed his recovery.

BIGHIT MUSIC revealed that Soobin started experiencing cold symptoms on March 10 and eventually took a rapid antigen test on the same day, which came back as positive. He promptly took a PCR test the following day for further confirmation and was tested positive on March 12.

“Soobin is experiencing symptoms including a cough and a sore throat. He has been under self-quarantine, away from the other members, since the rapid antigen test and is undergoing treatment at home,” the agency added.

Regarding the health condition of the rest of the TXT members, BIGHIT MUSIC stated Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai all tested negative on PCR testing as a proactive measure on March 11. All of them, including Yeonjun, will also comply with personal hygiene and health guidelines and closely monitor their own health since there was close contact among the members.

In addition, the agency stated they will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Soobin. They will also make the health and safety of our artists as their top priority. “We will also continue to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities,” the agency concluded.

Soon after the news came out, MOAs from all over the world delivered their words of comfort and well-wishes to their beloved idol. His name trended on Twitter, along with the hahstag “GetWellSoonSoobin.”

Assuring fans, Soobin even posted an update and photos on fan community Weverse saying that he’s okay and “not that sick” at all.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Soobin!
