U-KISS Drops Mini Album “Playlist” for 15th Anniversary

Celebrating the fifth anniversary of their debut, U-KISS returns with a new album after nearly six years.

On the afternoon of June 28, the six members of the talented K-Pop group U-KISS reunited to commemorate the release of their newest mini-album, PLAY LIST. The showcase was held at Ilchi Art Hall in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where the group expressed its aspiration to reunite and promote as a full ten-member group someday.

Highly-awaited return

Alexander, who has been active with U-KISS for the first time since 2011, said, “I’m back after twelve years. During that time, I did overseas activities, acting, and radio. Actually, it was difficult. Coming back after so long, I might feel a little screwed up, but I’ll do my best. Pretty and cool. Please look at it,” he concluded with a trembling heart.

When discussing the most memorable part of promoting, U-KISS stated “This is the most memorable. When we first got together for the fifteenth anniversary project, some saw each other for the first time in ten years. We met with the mindset of ‘Should we talk or will we fight’ and it was so nice. That moment is the most memorable.”

Also, member Hoon said, “I’ve been active for fifteen years, and every moment with the members and fans is memorable, but there was a time when I was serving in the Marine Corps. At that time, Soohyun appeared on the show Civilization Express. If I were available, I would have been with him,” he said, feeling regret and envy while revealing his gratitude to Soohyun. On the other hand, leader Soohyun expressed his regret that they could not promote as a full group of ten for the fifteenth anniversary.

U-KISS’ fifteenth-anniversary album, PLAYLIST contains a musical style that both fans who cherish U-KISSa nd the public who do not know about U-KISS can enjoy. The keywords for the album were comfort, sympathy, gratitude, and retro.

In particular, with the meaning that six members will participate in this fifteenth-anniversary album, they set six tracks as the number of tracks and proceeded with the album work. The album includes the title track “The Wonderful Escape,” and b-sides songs “Party Tonight, “Dear. Mom,” “Memories,” “My Favorite,” and “The Way You Are.”

U-KISS’ new album was released at 6 pm on the same day through various online music sites.
