Wanna One’s Yoon Jisung Confirmed To Make Solo Debut In February

What’s next for Wanna One’s Yoon Jisung following the group’s contract expiration?

MMO Entertainment has confirmed on January 1 that Wanna One’s Yoon Jisung will be embarking on a solo career after the group’s contract had ended.

The idol heads back to his original agency following the end of his term as the leader of Produce 101 Season 2‘s project group Wanna One. The group’s contract to promote as Wanna One ended on December 31, 2018 after a year and a half of various activities.

“It’s true that Yoon Jisung will be making his solo debut in February. However, we are still in the process of talking about the exact details and dates,” MMO Entertainment said on their statement.

The agency also spoke about another thing in store for Jisung this 2019 – his military enlistment.

“We can’t speak of any details until he is given his draft notice, but we estimate that he will enlist by the first half of 2019,” they said.

They had previously shared that Ji Sung had been considering things about his upcoming mandatory enlistment, including the idol’s option of taking the test for mandatory police conscription again.

He is also currently in talks to be part of the musical Those Days, which will supposedly make its run from February 22 to May 6, 2019. However, the agency has yet to confirm if they and the artist will accept the role offered.
