Yang Hyun Suk Expresses Admiration For BLACKPINK In Congratulatory Post For The Group’s Anniversary

Yang Hyun Suk is proud and happy for BLACKPINK.

YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk has nothing but admiration for Jennie, Rose, Jisoo, and Lisa as BLACKPINK celebrates its second anniversary on August 8.

The head of the company commemorated the special day of the girl group with a congratulatory post on his Instagram.

He posted a photo of BLACKPINK and captioned it, “Girls that grew so much in only two years…” He also added that he is looking forward to the next two years of the girl group.

Jennie, Rose, Jisoo, and Lisa are celebrating their second year anniversary as a group on August 8. They debuted in 2016, becoming the first girl group to debut in YG Entertainment in six years since 2NE1. Their debut single album Square One featured the tracks “Boombayah” and “Whistle”.

The same year, they released their second single album Square Two, with lead singles “Playing with Fire” and “Stay”. In 2017, they came out with “As If It’s Your Last”.

Almost a year since the release of “As If It’s Your Last”, BLACKPINK finally released its first mini album, Square Up, led by “Ddu Du Ddu Du”. The EP peaked at the top spot of Gaon Album Chart and Billboard’s World Albums Chart. “Ddu Du Ddu Du” also topped Gaon Weekly Chart and Billboard’s World Digital Song Chart.
