BIGBANG’s G-Dragon’s exclusive contract with YG Entertainment has come to an end.

G-Dragon’s exclusive contract with YG Entertainment has come to an end, but the company and the rapper are still collaborating on the rapper’s other projects, such as his advertising, under a different contract, according to YG Entertainment’s confirmation to numerous Korean media sources on June 6.

The company also stated that they plan to discuss an additional arrangement with him over his music. “We are cooperating with other activities such as advertising through a separate contract. We will negotiate an additional contract when we resume our music activities. YG will spare no effort to support this,” the company said.

YG Entertainment’s quarterly report was previously made public via the electronic disclosure system on the 15th of the prior month. As of March 31, of this year, G-Dragon’s name was reportedly not included in the list of major contracts for actors and singers. As a result, rumors that G-Dragon didn’t extend the contract he had with the company spread.

G-Dragon, on the other hand, declared on his official YouTube channel on January 1st, “I’m going to use this opportunity to say that I will work hard next year.”
