ZEROBASEONE Achieves 2 Consecutive ‘Double-Million’ Seller Albums
Rookie group ZEROBASEONE impresses with amazing feat of writing a new K-Pop history by becoming a ‘double million seller’ for their last two albums in about four months since its debut.
According to Circle Chart, an album sales statistics site on the 13th, the group’s second mini album MELTING POINT, released on November 6, sold a total of 2,131,352 copies in just the first week.
The group’s first mini album YOUTH IN THE SHADE, released last July, recorded cumulative sales of 2,034,594 copies based on the Circle monthly chart last September.
ZEROBASONE is the first K-POP group to become a ‘Million Seller’ in just one day with two consecutive albums. The first mini-album YOUTH IN THE SHADE sold approximately 1.24 million copies in just one day of release, and the second mini-album MELTING POINT sold approximately 1.45 million copies.
In particular, ZEROBASEONE ranked 9th in terms of highest sales in the first week of K-POP albums released in 2023, and is among the top 7 groups when calculated by highest sales by group.
ZEROBASEONE stands out not only on albums but also on domestic and international music charts upon its debut. As of the morning of the 13th, the cumulative number of streams for all 2nd mini albums on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, exceeded 5.27 million, and the title song “CRUSH” exceeded 1.75 million.
All songs including “CRUSH”, “MELTING POINT”, “Take My Hand”, “Kidz Zone”, and “Good Night” entered the Melon HOT 100 chart. “CRUSH” as well as the debut album’s title song “In Bloom” are doing well on the TOP 100 charts.
