We look back on the year 2018 with grateful hearts for feeding our feels with the best and brightest concerts in the Philippines.
The year 2018 treated K-Pop and Korean drama fans in the Philippines with a generous serving of events. As we say goodbye to this year, we reminisce the special nights when Filipino K-Pop and K-Drama fans united and showed their endearing love for their idols who travelled 1,629 miles to bring their top-class talents and world-class stages to the Philippine shore.

January 6: Starting 2018 with SF9
FNC Entertainment’s first dance group SF9 kicked off the string of K-Pop and K-Drama events in the Philippines with an electrifying night of music and stage performances.
Youngbin, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Dawon, Rowoon, Zuho, Taeyang, Hwiyoung, and Chani staged powerful stage routines and memorable interactions with their Fantasies at their SF9 Be My Fantasy in Manila at The Theatre at Solaire on January 6 — marking their first ever fan meeting in the country.
January 14: The First and Last Event with JBJ
The year 2018 was indeed worth reliving for Filipino Joyfuls who witnessed JBJ’s first and last fan meeting in the Philippines. Held at the New Frontier Theatre (formerly KIA Theatre), JBJ 1st Fan Meeting in Manila “Come True” was a night when Joyfuls’ dream of seeing Noh Tae Hyun, Kenta, Kim Sang Gyun, Jin Longguo, Kim Dong Han, and Kwon Hyun Bin live came true.
The boys performed tracks from their debut album Fantasy, and took fans back to their Produce 101 Season 2 days with their performances of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”, Produce 101’s “Open Up”, “Show Time”, and “I Know You Know”.
February 9: Wild KARD Party Descended In Manila
There was a Manila party at the New Frontier Theatre on February 9 this year when KARD treated fans with an ultimate 2018 WILD KARD in Manila.
J.seph, B.M, Jiwoo, and Somin got the whole venue on their feet as they reciprocated fans loud cheers with songs from their debut extended play Hola Hola and their second EP You & Me.
February 10: A Sweet Pre-Valentine Date with Jisoo
South Korean actor Ji Soo made his return in Manila on February 10 for his first ever solo fan meeting in the country.
The Nation’s Second Male Lead was every fan’s leading man in a sweet and intimate event, called My One and Only Ji Soo Fan Meeting in Manila, held at the SM North EDSA Skydome.
April 28: EXO Members Proved They Got The Power Every Time In Sold-Out Manila Concert
EXO once again impressed Philippine EXO-L as the members staged impressive and powerful performances in EXO PLANET # 4 – The ElyXiOn in Manila.
Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun fired up SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 28 with performances of their hit songs such as “Power”, “Ko Ko Bop”, and “Growl”.
June 2: Seungri Spun Lasting Memories in His First DJ Gig in Manila
BIGBANG’s Seungri showcased another side of himself during his June visit in the Philippines. The singer debuted as DJ Seungri at Cove Manila on June 2 where he impressed with his outstanding DJ skills, getting up on their feet until sun up.
For fans who missed Seungri’s June 2018 visit, fret not. BIGBANG’s youngest member will return to Manila for his first solo concert.
The Great Seungri Tour 2019: Live In Manila is happening on January 19 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena with 2NE1’s Sandara Park as his special guest.

June 30: Uncontrollable Smiles with Jung Hae In To End June 2018
Jung Hae In brought Valentine’s Day in June 2018, giving his Filipino fans every reason to smile despite the gloomy and rainy June weather.
The Something In The Rain leading man got everyone falling head over heels with him over and over again during his SMILE Fan Meeting at the SM North EDSA Skydome held on June 30.
June 30: Super Show and Super Junior Returns in Manila
Five years of waiting were definitely worth it as Super Junior ensured that PH ELFs would go home with bountiful memories from its Super Show 7 held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on June 30.
It was nostalgic, bringing the feels of the ahjumma of Manila to an all-time high, as Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Siwon, and Donghae performed their best hits, including the megahit song that catapulted them to Hallyu Kings status back in 2009 — “Sorry Sorry”. Philippine ELFs also witnessed the live performances of their latest hits namely “Black Suit” and “Lo Siento”.
July 13: A Heaven-Like Fan Meeting with BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae
BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae brought Filipino Melodies to paradise with the staging of his first solo fan meeting in the country.
The singer-actor was warmly welcomed by fans with ardent cheers and love during his 2018 Yook Sung Jae Fan Meeting in Manila <PARADISE> at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent on July 13.
Moreover, the BTOB member was introduced as one of the inspirations or guides of aspiring K-Pop idols in Viu Philippines’ original reality program Hello K-Idol, alongside singer Jung Joon Young.
July 29: The Most Special Fan Con Featuring Sandara Park and Nam Joo Hyuk
Penshoppe gave K-Pop and K-Drama fans a generous serving of everything grand and fun during the Penshoppe Fan Con event at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on July 29 which featured top stars 2NE1’s Sandara Park and actor Nam Joo Hyuk — two of the fashion brand’s international brand ambassadors.
The arena saw a full house who witnessed a mini concert, mini fashion show, and mini fan meeting all rolled into one delightful but nothing mini event.
August 17: Momoland Greeted the Press
Phenomenal girl group Momoland landed in Manila in August for a series of events including a press event where the girls answered questions from the members of the media.
August 26: GFriend Brightened August in First Manila Solo Concert
GFriend defied expectations in its first solo concert in Manila held at the New Frontier Theater (formerly KIA Theater) on August 26.
Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji treated Philippine Buddies with a parade of captivating and fiery performances of their hits such as “Fingertip”, “Navillera”, “Me Gustas Tu”, and “Rough”.
September 1: Wanna One Created Golden Moments with PH Wannables
Wanna One World Tour <One: The World> in Manila was definitely a night worth recounting as it marked the first and last solo concert of Wanna One whose activities as a boy group will officially end in January.
The boys, who were welcomed by a sold-out concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on September 1, gifted Philippine Wannables with lasting memories of their impressive stages and golden performances.

September 22: Jung Joon Young intoxicated Manila with His Music and Charms
Jung Joon Young kept the promise he made back in July, during the press conference of Hello K-Idol, that he will return for a fan meeting event.
The singer brought his signature sass, humor, and talent during his fun-filled Fiancee Fan Meeting at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent on September 22.
September 29: SEVENTEEN Treated PH Carats to the Most Ideal Concert
The night became hotter than day on September 29 when SEVENTEEN showed SM Mall of Asia Arena what a true self-producing idol group is all about with intense choreography, superb vocals and rap, and heartfelt ment.
The 2018 SEVENTEEN Concert “Ideal Cut” in Manila was a concert of everything ideal that started off with a charismatic entrance with “Intro: Into the New World”, and concluded with a seemingly never-ending “Aju Nice”.
October 6: Day6 Rocks Philippines with Intoxicating Music
Youth in Manila was every bit amazing, spectacular, and incredible with Day6’s intoxicating music, partnered by the passionate cheers and singing of Philippine My Days — one of the best crowds we have witnessed in Philippine K-Pop concert scene, to be honest.
Day6 reciprocated the high energy of the fans with equally passionated and energetic stages of “Shoot Me”, “Congratulations”, “Beautiful Feeling”, “I Wait”, “WARNING”, among others.
October 28: MBC Show Champion Returned with Another Great Show featuring Kim Shin Young, EXO, XENO-T, Weki Meki, MXM, Hyeongseop X Euiwoong, and The Boyz
MBC Music’s Show Champion in Manila was a jam-packed event, featuring renowned comedian Kim Shin Young as MC, EXO, XENO-T, Weki Meki, The Boyz, MXM, and Hyeongseop X Euiwoong.
Fans were treated with a night full of music and performances from their favorite idols, who were more than happy to greet their fans and create sweet memories with every interaction.
November 10: WINNER and PH Inner Circles Colored SM MOA Arena Nebula Blue
SM Mall of Asia Arena turned nebula blue on November 10 when WINNER brought its first world tour titled 2018 EVERYWHERE Tour in Manila.
Jinwoo, Seunghoon, Mino, and Seungyoon did not hold back in treating Philipine Inner Circles, who waited more than four years to showcase their undying love for the boy group; who first came to Manila back in 2014 as Team A.
With high-energies and equipped with the brightest lightsticks and banner support, Inner Circles sang along with WINNER members in their performances of their hits including “Empty”, “Really Really”, “Love, Love Me”, “Island”, “Everyday”, among others.
November 10: A Shower of Music and Unforgettable Moments with DEAN and SAAY
DEAN and SAAY heated the New Frontier Theater (formerly KIA Theater) stage with their respective brand of music and beats in their concert titled DEANTRBL X SAAY on November 10.
SAAY kicked off the night with her outstanding display of smooth vocals in her performances of her songs including “Quiet Down” and “Vodka and Lemon Shot”.
DEAN took the baton next with energetic and spit-fire bars despite being sick that night. The birthday boy upped the heat and energy with his songs “Put My Hands On You”, “21”, “Dayfly”, “instagram”, and more.
November 11: iKON and iKONICs Blazed Manila with their Energy and Fiery Passion
We were not exaggerating when we said the ground was shaking that night, November 11, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, when iKON and iKONICs teamed up to stage the biggest and wildest K-Pop party during the boy group’s 2018 CONTINUE Tour.
The arena was dazzling red and echoing with cheers in every performances of B.I, Bobby, Jinhwan, Junhoe, Donghyuk, Yunhyeong, and Chanwoo including stages of their hits “My Type”, “Rhythm Ta”, “B-DAY”, “Bling Bling”, and the phenomenal song that got the whole South Korea and world singing along “Love Scenario”.
November 18: Lee Jong Suk Charmed His Filipino Fans in his First Fan Meeting in the Philippines
Lee Jong Suk made all our K-Drama dreams and wishes come true when he finally landed in Manila and spent a memorable night with his local fans who waited years to officially welcome him to the Philippines.
The actor staged his Crank Up fan meeting at the Araneta Coliseum on November 18 as the final stop of his global fan meeting tour, making everyone swoon with his cute antics, sincere words, and sweet gifts to fans.
December 10: Momoland Met the Press As The Members Got Hype for Their First Philippine Concert in 2019
The girls of Momoland, sans Nayun and Yeonwoo, returned to Manila and met with the members of the press in preparation for their highly anticipated first solo concert happening on January 25, 2019 at the Araneta Coliseum.
The members also shared with the media their thoughts about the Philippines, their popularity, and future plans.
Welcome Momoland back in Manila on January 25 and witness great performances of their hits “Bboom Bboom” and “BAAM” at the Araneta Coliseum. Tickets are still available via TicketNet outlets and online.
December 14: Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Made History with Heart-Warming and Delightful Solo Concert
The 11:11 wishes of Philippine Sones came true on December 14 at the New Frontier Theater (formerly KIA Theater) with ‘s… Taeyeon Concert.
It was a night when Taeyeon proved she was indeed one of the most talented vocalists in K-Pop with her mesmerizing performances of her hits “I”, “Fine”, “Something New”, “Feel So Fine”, and more.
She also made history as the first female SM solo artist and the first member of Girls’ Generation to hold a solo concert in Manila.
Did we mention the event was also sold-out — the fastest K-Pop concert in the Philippines to be sold-out. #KING indeed.
December 21: NOIR Gifted Fans with Sweet Interactions In First Visit
The members of NOIR made their debut on Philippine stage with their first ever fan meeting in the country held at the Manila Hotel on December 21.
The boys granted their fans’ wishes with their performances of “Airplane Mode” and “Gangsta”, hi-hug, and a fan sign event.
The year 2018 was indeed a blessing to Philippine K-Pop and K-Drama fans’ feels and memories as it served a generous serving of events that made it a year worth-reliving.
As we say goodbye to 2018, we welcome the year 2019 with happy and expectant hearts for what the new year has in-store for our fan hearts.
