Kpop Idols And Their Unbelievable Diet Regimen

Kpop Fitspiration?

Kpop idols are attractive, beautiful, and fit; many people look up to them as their “fitspiration.” They undergo diet and exercise to achieve their “ideal” bodies. Flat tummies, toned arms, legs and small waist lines. What’s their secret? Kpop idols are known to limit their intake and follow strict diet plans, especially before an appearance. Some even take extreme diet plans that it seems almost impossible to accomplish.

We have heard about idols undergoing a transformation and being able to shed off some weight in just a few days to a couple of weeks. Let us take a look at some of these well-known diet plans:

The Banana Diet or Glamour Diet

Remember the time when there was the rave in Japan causing bananas to be out of stock in the market in a matter of hours. Seo In-young testified that this diet really worked and she lost 6kg in 4 weeks. The good thing is you only eat bananas for breakfast and can still eat anything during lunch and dinner. This diet claims to make your face smaller and helps burn belly fat too.

The Paper Cup Diet

Nine Muses is the group well-known for this diet. Fill a small disposable cup with anything you can stuff it in with (of course all should be healthy food). Put some whole grain, fruit, and vegetable. By doing so, they can still taste any food they want. The very controlled proportion of the food keeps them in shape.

The One Food Diet

This diet is pretty simple to understand. You just pick one low calorie food and stick to it the whole day. You might get sick of eating the same food everyday, so you have to have that strong self-control to be able to endure this, resulting yourself losing weight with this diet – who would not?

The Watermelon Diet

Park Bom of 2ne1 used this diet in order to lose some weight fast. Watermelon consists mainly of water and it is said to help to curb the appetite, while getting the essential vitamins for the body.

The Lettuce Diet

Considering her 4D personality, 2ne1’s Park Bom has another diet plan. She just eats lettuce all day. Since lettuce is full of fibre, it will trick your stomach into thinking that it is full.

The Cucumber Diet

Cucumbers are full of nutrients, low calories, and like watermelon, they consist mainly of water; that is why SISTAR’s Dasom picked this vegetable to be her super-food. She was able to lose 10kg in 3 weeks.

The Denmark Diet

It is a strict high-protein and low-calorie diet that only lasts for 13 days. KARA’s Nicole used this diet and lost more than 3kg.

The 1,500 Kcal Diet

The girls of SNSD follow this diet plan. It consists of 50g herbs, 5 pieces of broccoli, 150g brown rice, 100g chicken breast. No wonder all of them are skinny.

The Deadly Diet

Wheesung revealed how he was able to lose 7kg in 3 weeks and he said it was all because of the “Deadly Diet”. It is a low calorie diet, which consists of protein and vegetables. He ate smoked chicken breast and salad during his dieting period. He stated that he ate almonds whenever he felt hungry. He also took multi-vitamins and drank more water.

The Lemon Detox Diet

This is one of those extreme diet plans I was talking about. This is mainly to detoxify your internal organs. Lee Hyori gave up after three days. This diet consists of drinking herbal team infused with lemon.

It takes a lot of self-control when it comes to dieting but these Kpop idols have done it. I can’t even sleep well knowing there is a full tub of ‘cookies and cream’ ice-cream in the fridge.

Will you be able to last at least one day with these Kpop idols’ diet plans? Have you ever tried these diet plans?

Totally agree. 1500 cal is fine for a woman under 55kg, actually is the normal amount in order to maintain her weight, specially if she doesn’t workout a lot. The 2000 cal thing is a guideline and does not apply to everyone. I usually eat under 1500 cal/day and I’m never hungry. The thing is, if you eat veggies and some lean meat you surely won’t feel hunger in 1500 cals. If you eat instead crisps and sweets, of course you’ll starve for the day. That’s the good thing about limitingcalorie intake: you learn fast what keeps you full and usually those are the veggies along with some protein

The 1500calorie isn’t that bad…the only oned that are bad here are: lettice diet, one food diet, watermelon, and one paper cup. Rest is pretty reasonable. Heck I’m on 1200calories diet and I can say as long as you eat the right things you will never starve or be hungry.

I agree with some of the previous comments, stop spreading false information. Some of these “diets” are a lie – SNSD does not subsist on a 1500 calorie diet (they may have dieted at some points, before a comeback, but every member would follow their own diet). Some of them, especially Yoona and Sooyoung, eat a lot and are naturally skinny. I myself know a lot of people who cannot gain weight no matter how much they eat. Also these idols are all bigger than me even though all I do is lie in bed all day – since they are dancing and active all the time, of course they would be able to stay slim while eating a lot.

Very interesting! The life of a pop star doesn’t seem so covet-able on these restricted diets…

I completely agree with the two comments below. This article should be either taken down or given a warning. These are completely innapropriate diets for younger readers to be hearing about. Please consider editing this article.

I believe Park Bom didn’t just eat watermelon or lettuce all day she ate it i between her meals because she has a snacking problem. Please don’t do articles like these you know very well these diets are harmful and idols do not have healthy weight goals for average people in fact idols have trainers and dietitians working with them through their diets. Idol diets never last long either and are mostly used before comebacks the people you are encouraging to try these diets have non of that or a reason to want to be so dangerously thin. You should also remember that the people your exposing this stuff too are mostly teens You really should put more thoughts into articles like these. This was a really badly presented article mostly because you’re not showing anyone the badside to all these diets. Diets like these can lead to major EatingDisorders but you’d write anything for a few hits on your website right?

None of these seem healthy and it’s scary how you are so writing about these in such a relaxed and positive manner, encouraging people to try it.
