Which Groups Are Gearing Up For January 2016 Comebacks?
A clear sign indicating 2015 is about to end, is the slew of year-end festivities. However, the entertainment industry is one that does not sleep, and already official announcements of comebacks for January 2016 have caught the attention of fans and media alike. Here’s a quick rundown on which groups will be heating up the new year with their comebacks:
1. Dal Shabet
After the departure of two Dal Shabet’s members in December, Jiyul and Ga Eun, the original group will return on January 5th as a quartet with their 9th mini album, Naturalness. It will also be a meaningful return as their comeback coincides with Dal Shabet’s 5th anniversary.
The girls also unveiled a set of gorgeous teaser images on Christmas Day via their official Facebook page, flaunting their chic yet sweet looks for the camera:
2. TEEN TOP
The suave boys of Teen Top will rock the stage this coming January as well! The group’s agency, TOP Media, announced on December 24th via the agency’s website that Teen Top is currently gearing up for a January return, although details are yet to be revealed to the public at the time of writing.
It has been quite a busy year for Teen Top – they released their 6th mini album, Natural Born Teen Top, featuring the catchy Ah-Ah in June 2015, and commemorated the group’s 5th anniversary with an exclusive concert series in August. Teen Top also brought their slick performances to New York, Dubai and India, and even performed at India’s first-ever K-pop concert, Feel Korea 2015 as well!
The group recently performed a remixed version of Ah-Ah on the last broadcast MBC’s Show! Music Core for the year, which is available for playback here.
4Minute released the fiercely impressive and addictive Crazy earlier this year, so it’s no surprise that fans’ anticipations are certainly high for the girls’ upcoming projects. It seems that the quintet are pulling in the big ropes for their early 2016 return, as one of their musical collaborators was revealed to be Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer, Skrillex! Both parties seem to be super excited for this upcoming collaboration, evident in 4Minute’s and Skrillex’s Instagram posts with one another.
Inner Circles, rejoice, for WINNER will finally make the group’s return with a slated release on January 11th! This confirmation is also made by Yang Hyun Suk himself, who revealed that the album was already completed by December and fans will surely enjoy WINNER’s sophomore efforts as well. This marks WINNER’s first release since the group’s highly acclaimed debut-album, 2014 S/S, back in August 2014.
These are the four groups who have already made their confirmation on their comeback plans for early 2016. Which group comeback are you looking forward to?
