Former 2NE1 Member Minzy To Join New Agency

Minzy has finally found a new home where she wants to continue her career.

According to a local media outlet, Minzy decided to choose Music Works Entertainment as her new agency after her contract with YG Entertainment has expired on May 5.

Being a well-known company, Music Works Entertainment has been supporting many individual artists, including OST queen Baek Ji Young, Yoo Sung Eun, Gil9Bong9, Song Yu Vin and Kim So Hee.

However, Music Works has also issued an official statement on this, “Minzy has consulted us regarding a contract but there was no formal agreement.”

In addition, the former 2NE1 member recently posted a handwriting letter on her Instagram to express her gratitude to fans, and promise to come back soon. She wrote, “These experiences were undeniably precious and I take none for granted. Thank you all for helping me grow as an artist. I promise to work even harder to return before you all with an improved and more honest version of myself.”

Minzy also shared she thought and considered carefully before leaving YG Entertainment. For now, she wants to develop her solo career as Minzy Kong.
