Park Seo Joon Receives Overwhelming Support From Japanese Fans
Five of Park Seo Joon’s previous series successfully maintain their spots at the Top 20 Korean drama DVD sales rankings in Japan.

Korean heartthrob and Wooga Squad member, Park Seo Joon is continuously dominating the drama industry. Almost all of his previous lead series was hailed as the most-watched Korean dramas in Japan.
According to Sports Chosun, in the top 20 Korean drama DVD sales rankings on the famous Amazon site in Japan, Park Seo Joon’s previous dramas have been dominating the list. As of July 8, the 2016 historical-romance series Hwarang topped the list, A Witch’s Love in 2nd place, She Was Pretty at the 3rd, Fight For My Way at 4th spot, and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim at the 5th spot.
These five series of Park Seo Joon have been consistently at the top of the chart. Proving that he is at the center of interest of the K-drama enthusiasts in Japan.
The ranking results reflect Park Seo Joon’s popularity, which has secured a strong fan base in Japan regardless of gender.
Japan is one of the countries where DVD market is active. Its firepower has been proven in various online video streaming platforms, including Netflix.
Even in the 2020 Comprehensive Top 10 released by Japanese Netflix, JTBC’s Itaewon Class took second place, and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim at the ninth spot. These achievement projects that most of the K-drama viewers have a high interest in Park Seo Joon’s series.
Some Japanese fans said that Park Seo Joon’s healthy and pleasant charm are always present through his works.
Korean Drama Exhibition in Japan
The 2018 hit series, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim booth will be present at Studio Dragon’s Korean drama exhibition which is to be in Shibuya, Tokyo.
An official representative from the Japanese management of Hallyu stars shared that Park Seo Joon’s dramas have been a hit in Japan. He added that the Korean heartthrob has emerged into a versatile artist.
Despite the pandemic and the difficult situation in Japan, inquiries from local officials for Park Seo Joon’s appearances keep on increasing.
