All DAY6 Members Renew Their Contracts With JYP Entertainment

All members of the band DAY have renewed their contracts with JYP Entertainment.

DAY6 members Sungjin, YoungK, Wonpil, and Dowoon have officially renewed their contracts today with their long-time agency, JYP Entertainment.

DAY6, a group with musical symbolism, and JYP Entertainment, which has a lot of experience in band management, want to continue their meaningful partnership based on their strong trust relationship. JYP said, “We plan to provide systematic support for higher alertness as a strong support for DAY6’s future.”

The journey of DAY6

Since their debut in September 2015, DAY6 has presented music with unrivaled sensitivity and color, using solid faith in each other and fans’ precious love. The members gathered their determination to draw a bigger development together and reported the news of the renewal of the contract.

For 7 years, DAY6 has been active as a “K-POP representative band” with the support of JYP Entertainment artist label, STUDIO J. Not only did they form a wide consensus with the public with their lyrics and compositions such as “You Were Beautiful,” “Time of Our Life,” and “Zombie,” but they also gained the reputation of “DAY6 to trust and listen” by singing lyrics and melodies with deep resonance. In recognition of this contribution, DAY6 won the Best Band Performance Award at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).

On September 7, 2022, the boy band marked their 7th debut anniversary. They prepared an offline meet and greet event for MyDays (DAY6’s fandom name). DAY6’s leader Sungjin participated in the face-to-face fan event as his first step after discharge and shared his feelings and thoughts by doing his part for YoungK, Wonpil, and Dowoon, who are currently serving in the military.

DAY6 brightened the future of the K-POP band with various achievements such as achieving the record of 100 live performances in four years after their debut, completing two world tours, and forming the group’s first unit.

Meanwhile, expectations are focused on the music and growth that DAY6 will show in the future.
