Apink’s second Japanese single, Mr.Chu successfully hit second place on Oricon’s weekly music chart on February 25, proving the group’s increasing popularity in the Japanese music industry. The single sold 54,000 copies on the first week.

Previously, the single quickly climbed to the second spot on Oricon’s daily album chart right after a day of its release on February 18.

The Korean version of Mr. Chu, which was dropped on March 2014, became an immediate hit on all real-time music charts in Korea, namely Mnet, Bugs, Soribada, Olleh, Naver, Daum, Monkey3, Cyworld and Genie.

The girls’ debut Japanese single titled NoNoNo, which was dropped last October, also placed at No.4 on the weekly music chart.

Apink is set to release its third Japanese single LUV this May, and will perform it at Girls Award 2015 Spring/ Summer in Tokyo on April 29.
