BIGBANG’s Taeyang Donates 60 Million Won To Help Hearing-Impaired Children
BIGBANG’s Taeyang shone once again with his heart of gold!
BIGBANG’s Taeyang has donated a total of 60 million won which he made from his charity flea market and auction in January to the Snails of Love organization for the benefit of hearing-impaired children!
Shining with his good deeds once again, the singer has personally delivered the profits he made from the meaningful event he held last month in Seoul to the social welfare organization on February 24.
“I am happy to be able to do good work with my fans. I hope this will help children and teenagers who suffer from hearing loss,” Taeyang shared.
Held on January 18, the flea market and auction he organized received great support from his fans as well as fellow artists Sandara Park, AKMU, WINNER, iKON, CL, and IONE who, like the singer himself, donated some of their personal items for the event.
A total of 1,300 collections and over 2,100 fashion and lifestyle items were sold in the event, which saw approximately 700 fans in attendance.
Collecting a total of 60 million won, Taeyang’s donation will be used to fund artificial cochlear surgery and language rehabilitation for hearing-impaired children and teenagers.
“There are around 340,000 people all over the country who suffer from hearing loss. Over 90 per cent of children who get artificial cochlear implants before reaching the age of three are able to attend normal schools. With this donation, we will be able to give the gift of hearing to more children,” Snails of Love also shared their gratitude to the singer.
