BigHit Entertainment’s CEO Bang Si Hyuk Named As One Of Billboard’s 2019 International Power Players For Second Consecutive Year
BigHit Entertainment’s CEO Bang Si Hyuk continues to show his unparalleled influence as he lands again on Billboard’s International Power Players list!
Billboard has named BigHit Entertainment’s founder and co-CEO Bang Si Hyuk as one of 2019’s top International Power Players for the second year in a row!
Led by Billboard since 2014, the authoritative International Power Players list is made by selecting leaders who serve as frontrunners in the worldwide music market every year. For 2019, renowned leaders from the world music landed spots in the list. It includes the president of Live Nation Europe Zone Reade and Stew Bulgen, a member of Warner Music Group.
Notably, BigHit Entertainment’s Bang Si Hyuk marks his second consecutive year under the Recording list. He was introduced by Billboard as someone who played a big factor in BigHit’s boy group BTS. The group is currently recognized at the top of international music scene, including charts like Billboard 200 and Artist 100.
“The most memorable moment of last year was BTS’ UN Speech,” the BigHit founder told Billboard. “BTS have tried to convey messages to their fans in their own language. They gave a message of hope to youth around the world through the symbolic event that is itself a performance and a message,” he added.
Meanwhile, the BigHit CEO was also recognized as one of the next generation leaders innovating the world music industry when he was named as 25 New Power Generation by Billboard early this year. In 2018, he was also selected as an international music leader by the US company and he is currently expanding his global influence as BigHit’s leader.
