BLACKPINK, Girls’ Generation, & Red Velvet Soar As Leading Girl Groups In September Brand Rankings

Congratulations to the top girl groups this September!

Based on the recently released brand reputation rankings from the Korean Business Institute, BLACKPINK, Girls’ Generation, and Red Velvet are the current leading female idol groups!

The rankings are grounded on various factors including consumer media, communication, and community indexes of numerous girl groups from August 12 to September 12.


YG Entertainment’s prized female quartet BLACKPINK remains steady at the No.1 spot. The girls were able to maintain their lead with a brand reputation index of 3,702,433.

Some of the high-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis include one of the member’s names “Lisa,” her latest title track “Lalisa” and “YouTube.” The words such as “debut,” “record,” and “surpass” are likewise present as their high-ranking related terms.

#2 Girls’ Generation

Climbing up to take the second spot is the legendary girl group from SM Entertainment, Girls’ Generation. With a 53.49 percent increase in their score since August, the group was able to earn a brand reputation index of 3,601,929.

#3 Red Velvet

Red Velvet placed third once again this September. The multi-faceted quintet recorded a brand reputation index of 3,552,477.

Meanwhile, completing our top-five list are aespa and TWICE who obtained the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
