BLACKPINK Named As Top Girl Group In September Brand Rankings

Proving their great influence, BLACKPINK topped the latest brand reputation rankings for female idol groups!

From scoring grand deals from global brands to setting new music-related records left and right, the phenomenal K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK showed their impressive popularity by dominating the brand rankings this September.

According to the recent data released by the Korean Business Research Institute, BLACKPINK has once again secured the No. 1 spot in the brand reputation rankings for all female idol groups.

The list provided by the organization is based on several factors including consumer participation, media, communication, interaction, and community indices. 

Notably, the institute was able to analyze 57,503,571 number of star brand big data from August 11 to September 11. Compared to the 50,609,309 girl group brand big data in August, it increased by 13.62%.

Dominating the list with great pride, YG Entertainment’s prized girl group BLACKPINK acquired a brand reputation index of 6,257,886. It fell by 1.79 percent compared to their data back in August.

Specifically, the girl group group had a participation index of 687,344, a media index of 2,068,566, a communication index of 1,247,769, and a community index of 2,254,206. High-ranking phrases in BLACKPINK’s keyword analysis included “Pink Venom,” “sixth anniversary,” and “YouTube,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “surpass” and “record.”

The group’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 84.27 percent positive reactions.

OTHER GIRL GROUPS THAT CONQUERED THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER

Taking the second and third places are powerful rookie girl group IVE and powerhouse group Girls’ Generation. The former superbly attained a brand reputation index of  6,147,776, while the latter obtained a brand reputation index of 5,719,516. The girl group’s indices increased by 108.53 percent and 21.85 percent, respectively, since August.

Demonstrating their astounding popularity, TWICE and OH MY GIRL scored the fourth and fifth spots. Meanwhile, NewJeans, aespa, Red Velvet, Apink, and (G)I-DLE placed sixth to tenth respectively.
