BLACKPINK’s Rosé Achieves Highest Pre-Order Sales For Female Soloist With Debut Album “R”
Congratulations, Rosé!
Even before making her grand solo debut, Rosé, from femme fatale quartet BLACKPINK, has already set an impressive record with her upcoming album.
Recently, YG Entertainment shared that Rosé’s debut single album R has already surpassed 400,000 stock pre-orders as of March 8. Remarkably, it is the highest number of stock pre-orders achieved by a female artist in Korea. She achieved the record in only four days since the album pre-orders opened on March 4.
The said massive stock pre-orders not only came from Korea, but also many other countries including China, Europe, Japan, and the United States. The sum may increase further as there are still several days remaining until the album’s official release.
In September of last year, BLACKPINK’s first full album THE ALBUM bagged an amazing feat. Reaching almost 1 million copies, the quartet now holds the record of having the highest number of stock pre-orders sold for a K-pop girl group.
Rosé will drop her debut single album R and her very first title track “On the Ground” on March 12 at 2 PM KST. Moreover, the physical album will be released on March 16.
