BTS Breaks Record By Staying In Billboard 200 For More Than Half A Year Ahead Of Comeback

Quality and longevity – these are two words BTS is practically unbeatable at.

BTS smashes another record in Billboard by continuing to make a strong showing on several charts, especially Billboard 200, for more than half a year already!

For the past year, the group had been dominating several categories in Billboard and proving themselves unstoppable with a plethora of releases peaking and staying at the number one spot for a long period of time.

In fact, as of April 3, their previously released repackaged album Love Yourself: Answer continues to stay for thirty-one consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. Equivalent to more than seven months, the album exceeding half a year for its stay on the chart has set a new record.

Additionally, Love Yourself: Answer has remained unmoved at the number one spot on Billboard’s World Albums chart for twenty-six weeks.

The group has also been keeping the number one spot on the Social 50 chart for a jaw-dropping period of 120 weeks already, remaining unbeatable by any other artists both in K-Pop and worldwide. With this, they are only 44 weeks away from beating Canadian singer Justin Bieber who continues to hold the record for the longest-charting artist on Social 50 with 164 consecutive weeks.

These amazing records set by Love Yourself: Answer, which dropped on August 24, 2018, heightens the anticipation for the group’s comeback with the album Map of the Soul: Persona on April 12 even more.
