BTS, EXO, & ASTRO Named As Leading K-Pop Boy Groups In December Brand Rankings
The brand reputation rankings among K-Pop boy bands for the month of December have finally been revealed!
According to the latest data released by the Korean Business Research Institute, well-loved and talented K-Pop acts namely, BTS, EXO, and ASTRO are this month’s top male idol groups.
The rankings were based on various factors including consumer participation, media, communication, and community indices analyzed by the organization. Particularly, it extracted a total of 62,828,691 pieces of data among numerous boy groups from November 12 to December 13.
BTS continues its streak
Topping the list for one year and seven months now is none other than the worldwide K-Pop boy band BTS. Out of the more than 62 million data analyzed by the institute, the charming septet was able to impressively score a brand reputation index of 12,183,036 in December.
Some of the high-ranking phrases from the group’s keyword analysis are their glorious raking of awards at the recent “MAMA”, “lawsuit”, and “JTBC”. Additionally, the words “thankful”, “greet”, and “suspicious” are present in the band’s highest-ranking related terms.
Meanwhile, ARMYs should look forward as RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will be gifting them with new set of music very soon.
EXO secures second spot
Maintaining the second place is South Korea’s representative boy group – EXO. The trusted idols were able to secure their glorious ranking after acquiring a total of 7,248,798 brand reputation index this month.
Recently, the boys shone brightly as they raked yet another award. In particular, they received the 2019 Korean Tourism Star Award from the South Korean Ministry of Culture and Korean Tourism Board.
The Impressive Rise of ASTRO
Coming in to take the third place is the handsome and talented idol boy group from Fantagio Entertainment, ASTRO. Previously at 14th spot, the boys were able to secure the high-rank this December with their impressive 148.10 percent rise in their score. In particular, they obtained a brand reputation index of 3,346,232.
The group sans Moonbin also made their highly-awaited comeback last November 20 with their sixth mini-album Blue Flame.
Moreover, completing our top-five list this December are SEVENTEEN and WINNER who acquired the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
