Jimin’s heart of gold shines through once more as he makes a generous donation to help Busan’s education system.

BTS’ Jimin may be small, but he has a big heart. Today, it has been revealed that the dancer made a donation of 100 million Won to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education.

The singer made his donation on April 5, which will be used to fund school food expenses, student council activities, and students who come from low-income families. This donation will be distributed across different schools in Busan, with 30 million Won donated to Busan High School of the Arts — where Jimin attended pre-debut.

Though Jimin intended his donation to be kept secret, students and faculty who benefited from this donation took to social media to express their gratitude.

This is not the first time Jimin has shown support towards Busan’s education system. When Hoedong Elementary School officially closed its doors on February 2018, Jimin covered the school uniform costs of the graduating students who were moving on to middle school.

He also donated signed copies of BTS’ Love Yourself 承 ‘Her’ — which were personally distributed by Jimin’s father on their graduation day.

This is not the first time a BTS member has made a secret donation about causes close to their hearts. Earlier this year, Suga made a donation to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation on his birthday.
