Jimin’s fan dance for IDOL continues to stay iconic! Aside from blowing ARMYs away, he now contributes to Korean culture too.

BTS Jimin’s fan dance at the 2018 Melon Music Awards continues to impress! The dancer has recently been awarded a plaque from a fan dance conservation society for his iconic performance.

The Kim Baek Bong Korean Fan Dance Conservation Society awarded Jimin with a plaque praising his interpretation of the fan dance for IDOL, which the idol posted on the group’s social media account.

The appreciation plaque reads: “BTS reinterpreted Korea’s beautiful fan dance in its own words and by doing so, it played a huge role in raising the aesthetic value and the status of (the fan dance).”

This sentiment is shared by An Byungju, the daughter of choreographer Kim Baek Bong. The dance professor notes how BTS is raising awareness towards Korean cultural practices through their performances.

This is not the first cultural award that BTS has brought home for their artistry. Earlier this year, the boys won the Daesang at the Edaily Culture Awards for their ongoing Love Yourself world tour.
