BTS Claims Spot In Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People Of 2019” List

The immense influence of BTS is now Time Magazine-certified.

BTS claimed their spot in the annual “100 Most Influential People of 2019” list by Time Magazine.

On April 17, the magazine revealed the 100 notable personalities – from “pioneers, leaders, titans, artists, and icons” – in the world who had made the most impact for the recent year. Among those named was the unstoppable and unparalleled South Korean boy group BTS – who appeared in the list’s “Artists” section.

The group appeared alongside notable personalities in the entertainment industry, such as Regina King, actors Rami Malek and Brie Larson, and singer Ariana Grande. Showing up on the list from other fields are huge names like Sandra Oh, Michelle Obama, Lebron James, among others.

Behind BTS’ success

Noting their impact not just in the music industry but also as people in general, the American Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Halsey commented on the group’s numerous achievements and their current image as role model for millions of fans. She had recently collaborated with the group for their record-breaking, chart-topping hit “Boy With Luv” from their recent album Map of the Soul: Persona.

“Behind those three letters are seven astounding young men who believe that music is stronger than the barriers of language. It’s a universal dialect,” she wrote. She also touched on the group’s “positive messages of self-confidence” as one of their strongest points, adding that “world domination” was possible for BTS because of the “love and effort these young men put into each and every step”.

The group recently won the reader poll for this year’s “Time 100” list for the second consecutive year, putting in another entry in their long list of achievements.
