BTS V To Sweeten September With A Solo Album Release
Featuring five songs and a bonus track, V of BTS is all geared up to drop his first solo album.
Aptly titled Layover, the album will be released simultaneously worldwide at 1:00 pm on September 8th.
According to Big Hit Music on August 8, V’s solo album includes “Rainy Days”, “Blue”, “Love Me Again”, “Slow Dancing” and “For Us”.
“Slow Dancing” is marked the title song and is layered with a lazy vibe in romantic soul style of the 1970s.
Attuned to its literal meaning, “Rainy Days” is perfect for a rainy day. Various white noises in everyday life blend with V’s voice, while “Blue” adds a special touch by reflecting modern sounds to pay homage to old school R&B.
“Love Me Again” is an R&B song, and V’s unique low tone will be emphasized. “For Us” serves as an epilogue to the album with unique lyrics and pop R&B that evokes deep sensitivity with V’s voice.
The final track is the piano version of “Slow Dancing”.
Notably, music videos for five songs were produced, excluding the bonus tracks. Big Hit Music recommends listening in a connected flow from tracks 1 to 5.
V collaborated with Min Hee-jin, general producer of Adobe, on this solo album. At V’s suggestion, Min Hee-jin led the overall production of his album, including music, choreography, design, and promotion.
