BTS Continues To Pile Achievements With “Map of the Soul: 7”

BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7 becomes best-selling album in South Korea!

Recently, BTS made their long-awaited comeback with their new album Map of the Soul: 7.  Since its release, BTS has been breaking and creating records back and forth.

On March 12, Gaon Chart announced that BTS’ new album Map of the Soul: 7 has topped the February Monthly Album Chart. Officially released on 21 February 2020, Map of the Soul: 7 made history by selling 4.11 million copies within the month. 

According to the Gaon Chart, 4,114,843 copies of album were sold in just nine days since its release. With this, BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7 broke the record for best-selling album in South Korea. Previously, the title was held by BTS’ Map of the Soul: Persona with 3,399,302 copies sold.

BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7 also broke the record for the highest monthly sales and the annual highest sales volume, which was made last year by Map of the Soul: Persona.

The group is creating history everyday with their songs, not only in South Korea, but all over the world. Map of the Soul: 7 topped the US ‘Billboard 200’ album chart, and the title song “ON” secured fourth position in the Billboard ‘Hot 100’.

As of March 14, they had also already taken home eleven music show wins for “ON”, proving fans’ continuous hot response to their newest album.
