On March 16, it was revealed that Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Joon Ho were both part of a chat room with co-star Jung Joon Young. Cha’s pictures of money from gambling caused the actor to release himself from his programs.

Cha made an announcement through his agency the following day. He admitted that they played golf in the country, but the money was immediately returned after the games. However, he announced that he will be leaving all his programs to reflect himself. Lastly, he gave a sincere apology to his fans and especially to his family.

Likewise, comedian Kim Jun Ho also released his apology on the same day. In a press release, Kim announced that he will be leaving the programs he is a part of.

“I am sorry for the disappointment and heartache I have caused many people due to the nuisance. There is no difference in golf between yesterday and on the 16th of October. Furthermore, there were no golf games abroad with my colleagues in 2016. The money was just a part of the game which we returned right on the site. As a public figure, I am deeply reflecting on what I did not do. I should have set an example as the big brother of 2 Days, 1 Night. I sincerely apologize, ” he said.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Metropolitan Police investigation team confirmed the contents of the said chatroom on March 17.
