Police Confirms: Sexual Assault Charges Against Park Yoochun Dropped

By  |

After days of conflicting statements, it has been confirmed that the sexual assault charges against Park Yoochun have been withdrawn.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station confirmed the news on June 15. It is reported that the female worker, who accused Park Yoochun of sexually assaulting her, dropped the charges against him on Wednesday. She stated that there was “no coercion” to her decision.

In a statement released by the police, she reportedly said that:

I did not feel good as Park’s party acted as if they were thinking little of me after the sex. When I came back home, I thought Park treated me lightly as well when we had sex, so I filed the case.”

Earlier on, she had submitted her underwear as evidence of the assault to the authorities. Park’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment, has denied her allegations, treating them as a form of ‘malicious blackmail’ when the reports surfaced.

The authorities will be reviewing the case before determining if further investigations into the case are required.
