Dramafever to co-produce K-drama “Tomorrow’s Cantabile”
Dramafever, the world’s leading streaming site for Korean dramas, has officially announced its involvement with the upcoming KBS2 drama 내일도 칸타빌레 (Naeil’s Cantabile/Tomorrow’s Cantabile), set to begin airing on the 13th of October.
In 2013, Dramafever partnered up with SBS to co-produce the highly popular drama Heirs, starring world-renowned actor Lee Min Ho (City Hunter/Faith) and Park Shin Hye (Flower Boys Next Door/Heartstrings). The drama, a love story between an heir of a multi-million dollar company and a woman of modest means, set in the hectic and harrowing world of a high-class private high school full of heirs and heiresses, struck a chord in K-drama fans everywhere and garnered the production high ratings both during its initial run and in syndication.
Based on the Japanese manga Nodame Cantabile, Dramafever’s latest co-production stars Joo Woo (Good Doctor/Bridal Mask) and Shim Eum Kyung (Miss Granny/Masquerade). Described by some as the Odd Couple meets Boys Over Flowers meets Glee, the romantic comedy tells the story of the meeting between two very different people. One, an distinguished and meticulous musical genius. The other, an out-of-control pianist. Through a series of events, the pair teams up with a group of young classical musicians and an eccentric conductor to form a classical, yet unique, band. As time goes on, as their bond grows stronger and stronger. You learn more and more about the unlikely pair and their accompaniment of musical friends.
Tomorrow’s Cantabile will air at 10pm, replacing KBS2’s Discovery of Romance, on Mondays and Tuesdays and will be exclusively distributed worldwide on Dramafever.com.
