EXO’s Baekhyun Records Over 400,000 Album Pre-Orders Ahead Of Solo Debut

Fans are definitely excited about EXO’s Baekhyun and his upcoming solo debut – and it shows!

EXO’s Baekhyun amassed an impressive amount of pre-orders for his upcoming solo debut mini-album, proving the immense anticipation of EXO-Ls for his nearing venture as a soloist!

Titled City Lights, the mini-album is set to mark the EXO vocalist’s first-ever release as a solo artist since he debuted under SM Entertainment.

Recently, the agency announced that the album recorded a total of 401,545 pre-order sales as of July 8. This counts two days before the release of City Lights on July 10.

Amplifying the excitement for the mini-album’s release, SM Entertainment provided a preview of the six tracks it contains through a highlight medley on July 8.

Through the sneak peek, Baekhyun got to showcase snippets of his new songs “Ice Queen”, “Diamond”, “Psycho”, “Betcha”, “Stay Up”, and the title track “UN Village”.

Besides the title track which plays off as a romantic love song with R&B elements, fans are also looking forward to the several huge collaborations, especially with some of the industry’s top producers, to be showcased in the album.

First, Rapper Beenzino will be featuring in the b-side track “Stay Up”. Additionally, producers Darkchild, Stereotypes, Cha Cha Malone, LDN Noise, Kenzie, DEEZ, Leon, DRESS, and singer-songwriter Colde will all be taking part in the album’s various tracks.

The song “Psycho” is also gaining excitement from many fans, as it was first performed by Baekhyun on his solo stage for EXO’s The ElyXiOn [dot] in Seoul.

His set of photo teasers also show off how he will definitely set his solo debut off with a strong tone.

In celebration of his solo debut, Baekhyun will also hold a showcase in Samsung SAC Art Hall, Seoul on July 10 at 8 PM KST. The event will be broadcasted live worldwide through EXO’s Naver V Live channel.
