EXO Gives Heart-fluttering Message With New Japanese Single “Bird”

EXO-Ls, EXO is reassuring you that they will forever be by your side.

After such a long time since “Electric Kiss” in January 2018, EXO serenaded fans once again with a new Japanese single titled “Bird”, released worldwide on the midnight of October 10.

For their first-ever song as a six-member group, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai, and Sehun made EXO-Ls clutch onto their hearts as they sang about always staying by their side wherever they go.

For a song that isn’t even an actual ballad, “Bird” was able to tug on listeners’ heartstrings with the beautiful blending of the group’s currently active six members. It actually radiates the same vibes as EXO’s previous songs “Don’t Go” and “Peter Pan” – songs that are full of hope, happiness, and even energy but still manages to make listeners emotional nonetheless.

“Nobody, just us/ Nobody, no one else/ Let us go to the faraway place we always dream/ Nobody… if it’s with you/ Nobody… just us two/ We will surely ride the new wind and fly away/ Fly away,” its lyrics say. The song narrates a beautiful message regarding EXO’s journey – a hopeful reminder that no matter where they fly, they will always flock back together in the end.

“It’s a beginning of a never-ending journey,” the group reassures their fans through the song’s heartfelt lyrics – as if addressing directly the kinds of heartache that they may be feeling.

This song composed of purely the EXO members’ vocals gave such a different feeling with its calm melody and warm blending of the boys’ voices. The only downside that we see to the song is that the only time Sehun gets to sing is during its chorus while harmonizing with the rest of the members – despite already having shown in the past that he can indeed sing too.

“Bird” is available on various digital music platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Line Music, and more.
