EXO’s Lay Shows Global Influence By Topping 21 iTunes Charts Worldwide And Breaking Records With “LIT”
EXO’s Lay has claimed his rightful throne by sitting on top of music charts and amassing new records with his latest music release!
EXO’s Lay showed his record-breaking influence all around the world with the growing list of achievements by his newest solo album LIT.

The singer’s fourth solo album LIT Part.1 released on the 1st topped the QQ Music, KuGou Music, and KuWo Music digital album sales charts right after its release in China.
Further proving his popularity in the region, Lay’s album also surpassed the sales count of 30 million yuan (about 5.13 billion won) in just 7 minutes and 19 seconds on May 29. This impressive duration has set a new record for the shortest time to do so in the history of QQ Music, which is known as China’s largest music site.
Its title song “Lit” also ranked No. 1 in the overall music video chart of QQ Music, showing Lay’s popularity at the top.
Additionally, on May 30, the day after its pre-order started, the sales for LIT reached 40 million yuan (approximately 6.8 billion won) on QQ Music right away.
Lay also proved his global power by topping the iTunes Top Albums chart in 21 regions worldwide, including Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Guatemala, Oman, Bahrain, the Philippines, Armenia, Belarus, Macau, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Bolivia.
On the day of its release, the music video for “LIT” also dominated YouTube, and even peaked on the platform’s top trending videos in the Philippines at number 14.
The keywords “Stream Lit”, “Yixing”, and “Zhang”, immediately became trending topics on Twitter Philippines following the album’s release on digital and streaming platforms worldwide as well.
