EXO’s Lay Zhang Finally Reveals The Release Date Of His New Single “Honey”

The guessing game for fans of EXO’s Lay Zhang finally ended on June 6 after the singer-songwriter dropped the release date of his highly-awaited new single “Honey”.

Through his social media channels, the EXO member revealed June 14 as the day his new song will be unveiled. Fans commented immense support for the singer-songwriter, calling him “king” and relaying their excitement for “Honey”.

Along with the release date, Lay Zhang also unveiled a new photo which highlighted how the word “honey” appears on the honeycomb.

Previously, the EXO member amplified the anticipation for his upcoming release with a one-minute video teaser he shared on May 20 through his social media channels. In the video, the singer-songwriter comes home to an empty hotel room where he sits down on a sofa and watches the news.

Then, he walks towards the bathroom where he takes a dip in the bathtub. However, his supposedly quiet bath was disrupted by a bee who seemingly brings him to another dimension.

“Honey” will be Lay Zhang’s first solo release after six months since the release of his Christmas single titled “When It’s Christmas”.

At the Grand Line: Lay Sets Off For His Solo Concert

In addition to a new single, the EXO member will also embark in his first solo concert called Grand Line.

The concert will be held in Shanghai and Nanjing on July 6 and 20, respectively. Tickets to the concerts in Shanghai and Nanjing sold out in record time — eight seconds for Shanghai and 25 seconds for Nanjing.

More dates and venues are expected to be released soon.

As Lay Zhang will embark on his solo concert on July 20 in Nanjing, he will most likely miss the start of EXO PLANET #5 – EXplOration in Seoul which will take place on July 19 to 21 and 26 to 27 at the KSPO Dome.
