Good job to Philippine ARMYs!

Fans of BTS’ leader, RM, meaningfully celebrated the rapper’s birthday on September 9 by planting trees.

King Namjoon PH, a local fan club dedicated to the leader of BTS, planted 200 native Philippine forest trees at the Laguna Quezon Land Grant, a 9,500-hectare protected forest as part of their “Plant Today, Save Tomorrow” birthday project for the rapper.

The tree planting project was a collective effort by ARMYs all over the globe in appreciation of RM and as an act to help in the world’s environmental issues.

Following the tree planting, a certificate of appreciation was awarded to the rapper and King Namjoon PH in recognition of their efforts in helping keep the planet and the people healthy through protecting climate advocacies. The certificate was signed by Ofelia Bakker-Mananquil, president of the Fostering Education & Environment for Development, and Reynaldo Lorida of the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

The LQLG is part of the Sierra Madre mountain range, the longest mountain range in the Philippines. It is managed by the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

King Namjoon PH is an independent Philippine fan base of RM. Last year, the fan club commemorated the birthday of BTS’ leader through “One Love Namjoon Project”. The local fan club also spearheaded PH flag ocean during the boy group’s Wings Tour in Manila.

Meanwhile, BTS is currently in the middle of the North America leg of Love Yourself world tour which will end on October 6. The boy group will then bring its world tour in Europe and Japan. Other stops particularly in Asia are expected to be announced soon.

BTS also achieves another first for a K-Pop group as the boy group gets a nod from this year’s American Music Awards for Favorite Social Artist.
