GFRIEND To Leave Source Music After Contract Expiration
Fans are surely wishing the best for GFRIEND!
Well-loved K-pop girl group GFRIEND will be officially parting ways with their long-time agency Source Music.
Just recently, the agency announced the news via an official statement. All members of GFRIEND namely, Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji have decided not to renew their exclusive contracts.
“The exclusive artist contract with GFRIEND and Source Music will conclude on May 22. After careful consideration and in-depth discussion, we have come to an agreement to follow separate paths to continued growth,” the agency said.
GFRIEND debuted back in 2015. Since then, the beautiful and talented girls continue to showcase amazing resiliency through their undeniable chemistry and discipline. They are loved by many because of their wide range of concepts and synchronized dance routines.
The agency also expressed its gratitude to the group and to their supportive fans saying, “We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to GFRIEND who has allowed us to accompany them on their journey. We would like to deeply thank all fans who have shown love for GFRIEND. We ask that you continue to give your unchanging love and support to the members as they begin their new adventures.”
