Girls’ Generation Scores Perfect All-kill On Album Charts With A ‘Lion Heart’

Girls’ Generation is basking in success, as the group has achieved a perfect all-kill on various album charts in and out of Korea with its fifth album Lion Heart.

The new album, which was released on August 18, made its way to top the weekly album sales of Hanteo Chart and Synnara Records from August 24 to 30. It also dominated Gaon Chart’s album category for the third week of August, as well as Billboard’s World Albums chart.

With Lion Heart reaching the number one spot on Billboard’s World Albums chart, Girl’s Generation has marked the group’s second win on the chart after its fourth album release I Got A Boy in 2013, which proves the girls’ overwhelming popularity all over the world.

The octet successfully earned six trophies for their title track Lion Heart on all major local music shows, namely SBS’s Inkigayo, MTV’s The Show, MBC Music’s Show Champion, Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN, and KBS’s Music Bank.
