Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun Tests Positive For COVID-19
Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun will not participate in this week’s promotions for the girl group’s newest album.
Seohyun, the youngest member of Girls’ Generation, has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
On August 9, Seohyun revealed through her personal social media account that she had tested positive for the virus. In the Instagram story she has posted, Seohyun has extended her apologies for not being able to participate in the promotions for the Nation’s Girl Group’s new album, FOREVER 1.

“I know everyone has been waiting for our promotions, so I’m really sorry. To my members, I’m sorry. I thought I wouldn’t get sick because I usually am healthy, but I did. This is upsetting me, and I really apologize. I will recover soon and see everyone in good health on next week’s music show broadcast,” the Jinxed At First actress said, expressing her sad heart to the fans and members of Girls’ Generation.
As a result of this, Seohyun immediately halted all her schedules. She is receiving treatment and is currently resting. All her music broadcast schedule for the week has also been inevitably canceled. So, she will be unable to take part in the performances for M Countdown and Inkigayo.
Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation has recently released its 7th full album, FOREVER 1, on August 5, 2022. The music video of the title track of the same name has over 16 million views on YouTube as of this article’s writing.
Get well soon, Seohyun!
