Sooyoung is getting ready to kick off a new chapter in her acting career with Saram Entertainment!

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung is ready to start a new chapter in her acting career! Today, the singer-actress has formally signed an exclusive contract with Saram Entertainment. Through this move, she hopes to further develop her acting career.

Saram Entertainment warmly welcomed the singer-actress. A representative from the entertainment company noted that they are delighted and excited to work with Sooyoung. They are home to talents such as Ko Sung-hee, Kwon Yul, Kim Sung Kyu, Uhm Jung Hwa, Park Ye Jin, Han Ye Ri, Choi Won-young, Honey Lee, and Hong Ki Jun.

Echo Global Group also confirmed that the singer-actress’ contract with the company has expired through a statement. “We would like to express our gratitude to Choi Sooyoung for doing her best as an artist,” the statement reads. “We sincerely support her move.” The artist first signed with Echo Global Group in 2017, after her contract with SM Entertainment expired.

Sooyoung rose to fame as a member of Girls’ Generation. She kicked off her acting career through tvN’s The Third Hospital in 2012, and later took the lead in MBC’s My Spring Days and KBS’ Perfect Sense in 2014. She is currently set to lead the dramas So I Married an Anti-Fan and Polyclinic Doctor. Sooyoung will also star in the movie Memories of a Dead End, which premieres on May 9.
