Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon To Lead “Queendom” Season 2 As Main Host
We are all excited to find out which girl groups will participate in Queendom season 2!
Mnet confirms Queendom season 2 will be hosted by Girls’ Generation’s leader and main vocalist, Taeyeon.
On January 25, the production team of Queendom announced its return for season 2 with Taeyeon as its main host. “Taeyeon has become a musician who has been on top of the Kpop industry as a solo artist for 16 years while being notable for her colorful and rich musical world as a vocal queen.”
Mnet also acknowledged Taeyeon’s impeccable global presence as a representative of Kpop with a huge fan base in South Korea and internationally. “Above all, we expect her to play an important part beyond being the host as a role model that the junior girl groups can follow.”

Queendom aired its first season in 2019 and featured a star-studded lineup of female idols competing in different challenges before ending in a dramatic “comeback war.” The program was joined by Park Bom, AOA, MAMAMOO, Lovelyz, Oh My Girl, and (G)I-DLE.
The program created lots of discussions and reactions with the spectacular performances of the participants and further created a big direction in the music industry. Due to its impressive popularity, Mnet launched Road to Kingdom and Kingdom: Legendary War, which featured male idol groups.
Earlier, the trustworthy vocalist presented the pre-release digital single “Can’t Control Myself” to start teasing her 3rd full album, INVU, which will be released on February 14.
Meanwhile, Taeyeon will showcase her expertise and flexible prowess as an entertainer as the host of Queendom season 2 which is set to start filming next month.
