After much anticipation from fans, Girl’s Generation’s leader Taeyeon will be making her official debut as a solo artist this autumn!

As announced by SM Entertainment on September 10, the talented singer is presently in the midst of working on her solo debut album. However, the exact release date is still up in the air.

Taeyeon reportedly started gearing up for her debut as a soloist since last year, but it was then delayed due to her hectic schedules. This coming album will mark her first official solo promotion since Girls’ Generation’s debut eight years ago.

Being one of the main vocalists of Girls’ Generation, Taeyeon has received a lot of love for her emotional and skillful voice. Prior to her official solo debut, she has been actively participating in numerous drama soundtracks, including If and Can You Hear Me? from the 2008 dramas Hong Gil Dong and Beethoven Virus, respectively.

Recently, Taeyeon lent her beautiful voice to veteran singer Yim Jae Bum’s new track Deeper Sorrow than Love, which has been released on September 10 to commemorate the latter’s 30th debut anniversary. She is currently busy promoting Girls’ Generation’s fifth album Lion Heart.
