Global Competition Series “A2K” from JYP Entertainment, Republic Records & Federal Films Officially Launches

A2K is now on JYP Entertainment’s Official YouTube channel!

In the first episode, J.Y. Park, the Founder and Chairman of JYP Entertainment, introduces the project America 2 Korea, a show that will chronicle the creation of the very first American girl group trained through the K-Pop system.

He details the collaboration with Republic Records as the auditions are set to cover Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Atlanta and Dallas.

Through the five-city audition, selected applicants will attend the Boot Camp in LA where the final girls will be selected and brought to Korea for the training.

Acknowledging the potential and talent of aspiring girl group members, J.Y. Park highlights looking deeply into a special artist with a special talent that embodies confidence, “singing with her own voice” and ” dancing with her own style”.

With auditions kicking off in the first two of five cities, Dallas followed by Chicago, viewers are introduced to several candidates who will be assessed based on four major traits—dancing, singing, star quality, and character.

In the first episode, A2K gave a peek at the transparent and constructive feedback of J.Y. Park as well as heartening stories of aspiring K-Pop idols chasing their dreams.

Facing multiple rounds of auditions with top JYP executives, ahead of auditioning for J.Y. Park himself, each candidate striving for the chance of a lifetime, we meet three special girls who might have what it takes to become global superstars.
