Han Hyo Joo Donates Tickets For The Underprivileged To Jeonju International Film Festival

South Korean actress Han Hyo Joo makes a generous donation for the underprivileged by giving away tickets to the Jeonju International Film Festival.
Named the “Cinema Angel” in 2017, the actress stays true to the nickname by giving 1,000 tickets to the film festival so those who want to enjoy the films but could not afford the ticket can still take part and watch them.
Han expressed her gratitude for being chosen to be part of the project. She also shared her wish for people of all classes to be given the opportunity to watch films they want.
“I am delighted to have been selected as the cinema angel of the Jeonju International Film Festival,” she said.
She added, “I hope that many people will enjoy a wide range of culture without discrimination.”
The Cinema Angel Project, which has been in operation since 2007, provides movie viewing opportunities for the underprivileged.
The project also supports other wide range of activities. It helps shorts and independent films and donates to Seoul Arts Cinema Films. It also seek to continue its efforts by developing and expanding the scope of the foundation.
In the past years, several actors have taken the role of cinema angel including Song Hye Kyo, Cha Seung Won, Jeon Do Yeon, and Hwang Jung Min.
Now on its 19th year, the Jeonju International Film Festival will screen a total of 241 films. It officially launched on May 3 and will end on May 12.
