Park Seo Joon Starrer “Itaewon Class” Soars High On Viewership Ratings

Itaewon Class gains massive popularity due to its exciting plot and impressive characters

Park Seo Joon continues shining with his performance as Park Sae Ro Yi in Itaewon Class. Within five episodes through the drama, the plot has accumulated a lot of attention from the viewers.

Since the premiere, the drama has been steadily rising in its viewership ratings. The fifth episode of the drama which was broadcast on February 14 recorded 10.7% in nationwide ratings and 12.0% in the metropolitan area.

The ratings are based on Nielsen Korea and this is the highest ratings achieved by the drama so far. The story about the journey of passionate youngster who take on the world has received explosive reactions from audiences worldwide.

Park Seo Joon has established himself as prominent actor with his previous works such as dramas Fight For My Way and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim which have also scored high on viewership ratings. Fight For My Way depicts the life of sweltering youth and garnered the highest viewing rate of 13.8%.

While stealing viewers’ hearts with heart fluttering romance garnished with sweet comedy What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim too received a lot of love. It is one of the highest rated dramas in cable television, thus proving Park Seo Joon’s star power yet again.

Itaewon Class has had a great start by recording the highest viewership rating for the first episode broadcast of a jTBC drama with a 5.0% rating. Park Seo Joon continues immersing viewers with the broad spectrum of his acting.

Many viewers are praising the drama and added comments such as, “Park Seo Joon’s acting has improved.” “I’m looking forward to it all”, “I finally found a good drama on life” marking the beginning of Itaewon Class Syndrome.

Meanwhile, Itaewon Class featuring Park Seo Joon, Kim Da Mi, Yoo Jae Myung, and Kwon Na Ra airs every Friday and Saturday at 10:50 pm KST via jTBC. The drama is also available on Netflix.
